THE CITY OF TROY BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED

 TROY, MI – April 12, 2024

The precautionary Boil Water Advisory for the City of Troy is lifted following a second round of water quality sampling that returned clear on Friday, April 12, 2024. Water in the areas of Crooks and Adams/ South Blvd. and Square Lake is safe for consumption, and it is no longer necessary to boil.

On April 10, 2024, a malfunction occurred in the Great Lakes Water Authority system, causing a brief drop in water pressure below 20 psi. Responding swiftly, the City issued a precautionary Boil Water Advisory for the areas between Crooks and Adams/ South Blvd. and Square Lake. The City of Troy took two separate water samples in the impacted area 24 hours apart. All sample testing results concluded the water had no detectable bacteria and was safe for regular consumption and use.

The City of Troy remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that the water in Troy is of high quality and safe for the community.
