Fire Prevention Week
Each year at the start of National Fire Prevention Week, the week of October 9th, the Troy Fire Department hosts an open house at each of our six fire stations. The intent of the open house is to bring awareness to fire safety and commemorate the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. The TFD opens our doors so that the community can tour the fire stations, see the equipment, and learn about fire safety and prevention through talking with firefighters and watching demonstrations. 2022 Fire Open House - Sunday, October 9 from 1 - 4 pm.
Open House is held on the Sunday preceding October 9th, from 1 - 4 pm. Watch for a schedule of events in the late summer or early fall. There's lots to see and do! We'd love to see you!
