The Troy Summer Sensation Concert Series is Back!
On select Thursdays this summer, enjoy a variety of music at Boulan Park (1898 Boulan Park Dr., Troy). Stop by after work, grab a bite to eat from food trucks on site, and enjoy the show! Food trucks open for business at 5:30 pm, and concerts last from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

Legendary trombonist Bugs Beddow has won over 20 Detroit Music Awards, been nominated for 2 Grammy's, and leads his five piece band of veteran Rock & Soul musicians through genres of music from artists like Chicago, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Stevie Wonder, Bon Jovi, Earth Wind & Fire, Hall & Oates, James Brown, Steely Dan, Kool & the Gang, Temptations, and many more. You'll dance all night to this charismatic group as they perform a show you'll long remember.

Larry Lee & the Back in the Day Band
Former NFL player and
executive Larry Lee followed his passion after 18 years in the NFL and started
something that has become world class.
There are former members of
the Temptations, Spinners, Dramatics, Contours, and includes a member of the
Gospel Music Hall of Fame. In the
group’s 10 year existence it has been nominated and won several awards including Best Live Performance Group of the Year, Best R & B Band, and in 2006
Larry was voted Bass Player of the year by the Detroit Music Awards.

Detroit Soul Revue
The Detroit Soul Revue band is a ten-piece band with lots of vocals, horns and a locked and loaded rhythm section. They will feature a large selection of soul, funk and rock tunes that will make it hard to sit still … they are in the business of getting folks moving, after all! The brand is relatively new, but the band is really not – it’s the next incarnation of the long running Mass Transit Band that has been entertaining Detroit for 30+ years.
AUGUST 23 | Thornetta Davis
International singer, songwriter, recording artist, and SAG/AFTRA member Thornetta Davis, was awarded by the Detroit Blues Society the “Living Lifetime Achievement Award” and awarded a star on the Canada South Blues Museum “Walk of Fame.” In 2015 Thornetta was crowned “Detroit’s Queen of the Blues” in a ceremony by the Detroit Blues Society, with proclamations from the City of Detroit, County of Wayne and the State of Michigan.Her labor of love CD entitled Honest Woman has
recently been nominated by the Blues
Foundation, for two 2017 Blues Music Awards, for best song (I gotta sang the blues) and emerging artist CD. As a winner of over 30 Detroit Music Awards, Thornetta has also won eight 2017 Detroit Music Awards, which include Outstanding Record Producer, Outstanding Blues Recording, Outstanding Blues Vocalist and Outstanding Live Performance.
