ABOUT HEALTHY TROY

In 2019 the City of Troy and Beaumont formed a Healthy Troy Coalition; a program aimed at strengthening our community health resources. Beaumont has been successful forming coalitions in several other cities, launching initiatives like Bike Share programs, walking groups, cooking classes, and more.  In Troy, the key component is our collaborative group of members which consists of residents, non-profit groups like Troy Youth Assistance, City employees, local business owners, Oakland County Health Department, Troy School District, and experts from various departments within Beaumont. The group evaluates specific areas of need within the City and brainstorms about ways to improve access to healthy services and programs within Troy.

A community promoting healthy and active lifestyles for all cultures and ages by supporting resources through community partnerships.

OUR GOAL

The Healthy Troy Coalition goal is to improve existing systems and create healthy places that accommodate the differing needs of all community members. Through Action Teams that represent healthy eating, active living, and mental health, we will create opportunities for healthy and active lifestyles.
