Green Space in Troy

The Importance of Green Space

On Tuesday December 5, 2017 the Troy City Council directed City Administration to host a study session. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the process, to determine if Civic Center proposals for redevelopment will be considered, opportunities and strategies for public engagement, and opportunities and strategies for green space preservation. Links below include:

  • maps to demonstrate the different open& green spaces in the City of Troy
  • timeline documenting the civic center project.

The Parks and Recreation Board conducted a special meeting on January 11, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the council board room to discuss the green space initiative. A subcommittee was initiated and the Parks and Recreation Board nominated and appointed Tim McGee to be the Chairperson of the Green Space Sub-Committee.
