Senior Home Assistance Repair Program (SHARP)

Home Repair Program helps seniors 60 and older and persons with disabilities with home repairs to correct health and safety hazards, or to restore things to their proper working order. The work usually includes jobs that can be completed by a handyman in one or two hours. The labor is free, but the homeowner must pay for supplies. Financial assistance may be available if needed. Home repairs include but are not limited to things such as: gutter cleaning; installing window air conditioners, smoke detectors or grab bars; moving large items for trash pick-up; painting; repairing dry wall; and wheelchair ramp construction.
