Troy Police Department Community Services

Community Services Section

  • The Troy Police Department has a long history of community oriented policing.  The Department received a C.O.P.S. Ahead grant in September 1995 to form a structured Community Oriented Policing (COP) unit.  The COP Unit merged with the Crime Prevention Unit in 1997 to form today's Community Services Section.
  • The Community Services Section is the primary police resource for special events such as block parties, marches, parades, runs and walkathons.  The Community Services Section provides community programs on a wide variety of safety-related topics for any community group or business, as well as crime prevention services.  Please call (248) 524-3477 to schedule your program.
