New Hours – Effective July 1, the Troy Museum will be open on Monday. The new summer hours and days are effective through September 30.
Monday – Saturday: 9 am – 4:30 pm
Sunday: 1 –5 pm
The Troy Museum endeavors to provide a hands-on learning experience designed to provide lifelong learning opportunities focused on Troy Community heritage. The Museum preserves cultural heritage through physical structures, collection of artifacts, and archival materials.

Thursday Teas at Two
Sip a cup of tea while enjoying a slice of history. A different delightful topic each month! Program begins at 2 pm and lasts one hour. Guests are welcome to bring their own teacup and saucer.

Archaeology Camp
Register Now!
Camp II: Mon.-Thurs., Aug. 11-14, from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Learn the basics of archaeology in a fun, hands-on way! Camp includes classroom time to learn and time outside.
Learn about digging in the grid, processing artifacts and artifact analysis. Dress for the weather. Fees: $75. Camp II is for high school; middle school accepted by arrangement. Space is limited for this special camp; submit an application by July 28.

The museum offers our patrons:
- Ten historic buildings and a charming village green. Tour through the carefully restored buildings.
- Fine collections of nineteenth and early twentieth century artifacts. Researchers can arrange to work with staff to access archival records.
- Learning opportunities that are fun! Look under school programs or public programs for more information.
- A terrific place to visit again and again. The Troy Museum is open all year. Admission is free but donations are welcome and encouraged.
- The perfect setting for exploring, discovering, and enhancing your understanding of local history.
- Enjoy the "History is Fun Stop" with hands on activities in our Town Hall.
- Bring a picnic lunch and a good book for some quiet time on the green.

- The story of Troy is told through the 10 historic buildings on the Village Green.
- The Museum's Historic Church is available for weddings.
- The Troy Historical Society has purchased .95 acres immediately west of the Museum and plans to relocate the Niles-Barnard house and a barn to this site in 2009.
- The Museum provides education programs for 11,000 elementary students each year.
